the term "will" is incorrect, currently people THINK he is the best, it may be true to some people but i do see many other players i am not mentioning that are probably WAY better. but he WILL NOT be the best in the future for one, because cristiano ronaldo, frank lampard, wayne rooney, lionol messi, thierry henry, cesc fabregas, Robin v. Persie, or even others will be the best in the world and when ronaldinho will grow badder and badder until he goes into the MLS where he is FAMOUS!!!! right now ronaldinho is not increasing in skill, he is DEcreasing in skill while the ppl i just named on top will get better, maybe not for thierry henry...but everbody else

Ronaldinho is my favorite player but I don't think you can call him the greatest soccer player ever, but you can definitely call him the greatest soccer player of this time.

Only a WC is missing, he won it in 2002 but he wasn't the key player back then, in 2010 him and Kaka will be unstoppable!!!!!

@Twigglet.... that's the problem, people are judging him because of the WC and his current form, but even when he is not in form he is better than 80% of all other players, people that are playing football understand this things, form is not something that you put in the closet and get it out when you need it, what is happening to him now is normal for every player's career!!!!!

Personally I think his notoriety is much more well known then people actually witnessing his talent. I think he is a good player but personally after watching him in the World Cup and seeing some FC Barcelona games, I don't believe the hype. He is good but many are just as talented. I don't get the big deal about him at all.

Honestly, I don't think he has a chance. Already younger players such as Christiano Ronaldo are coming up with better speed and footwork. Also, I don't think he can surpass the speed and skill of Diego Maradona, who is in my opinion the greatest to ever play.

ofcurce not.
i do like him, because he always smiles, but i also hate him because i'm a real madrid fan.

one of my friends told me they don't want him for the national team anymore.
and as you can see, the last player of the world was fabio canavaro.
there were 3 people who had the chance to be know as the best football player:
zidan, ronaldinho, canavaro.
i think zidan should have got it, but they didn't vote for him because of what he did in his last game, and i think what he did was great.
and also ronaldiniho is getting too old know how old is he? 27 or 28?
it's time for the yunger ones know. people like robinho (real madrids #10) or cristiano ronaldi (man u # 7)

He's a great player, no doubt about it, and will be one of the greats of all time (heck, he could already be one of the greats of all time) but nobody can top Pele. 3 WC's and the best player the world has ever seen.
