John Robert Powers is well-known as a SCAM! They are a NOT a modeling agency. They take gullible young people and tell them they can be models. Not true. JRP is in the business of selling expensive (thousdands of dollars) modeling agencies. Run fast, out the door!

How to tell a real modeling agency from a SCAM? Legitimate modeling agencies NEVER charge the model for lessons or photographs, because they get their money once the model starts making money.

To model professionally, one must live in New York City, as this is where the professional modeling industry is located.

my daughter took an "audition tech" class there a couple of years ago, she got some calls for auditions too. The only issue I had was the $ that they expected for various types of headshots. I did later find out that there is a way to do Zip cards, head shots and other photos individually in the computer to address specific looks and styles. Unfortunately, I dont recall the program needed but you should check it out, Kinkos might have info because they do the prints! Good luck!
