A bob is a Base on Balls or a walk. That happens when a batter gets thrown 4 balls that are out of the strike zone.

Bottom of Basket when I worked at rainbow foods, when you cashiered the managers would always come by and say did you see BOB, meaning are we checking the bottom of the carts or buggies, as some people called them, for pop, watermelons, detergent, etc. I think for a while they had a program that would give managers incentives for busting out cashiers who were not checking for stuff, but I was a stock boy at the time so I am not sure of the details.
