Americans were tired of being taxed but not having a voice in government, ie taxation without representation. To boycott the british tax on tea the Bostonians threw the tea in to the bay. This caused the british to try and jail they people responsible for the tea party, but then, I don't know the details after that but shortly thereafter the revolutionary war, battle for indipendence began.

Everyone got strung up on caffeine in the tea and were bouncing off the walls so they had a revolution to work off the craziness.

It was a symbolic gesture to the Brits about rediulous taxes imposed on them.

It began a serious of events that led to revolution.

No Taxation Without Represention. Like what we have now. It was fought to deliver us from British rule that taxed us and gave us nothing in return. Wait a while longer and we will have a modern day repeat in D.C.

It pissed the British off so they sent troops in to maintain order and the colonist said to hell with that noise.
