Sweetie, I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT "come out". A lot of people here are going to urge you to just tell them and be done with it. IGNORE THEM. They want you to sacrifice your soul to make their recruitment quota. You need to find a Bible and a preacher, and talk to him. He knows what's best for you. But there is no such thing as "gay", or "bi". Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE is heterosexual. There is no evidence, psychological or scientific evidence to support any other possibility. Just find Christ.

Be prepared to stand tall. My best friend is gay and his aunt and uncle outed him. Please get support from the gay/lesbian community. It may be time to become a member of a new "family". You must explain to your family that sexual "preference" is a genetic thing, that you mean no disrespect to them or the traditional values in your culture, but you were born that way and must be true to yourself, and that it would be cruel of them to make you change. It is likely that your father and your mother will think they did something wrong in your upbringing, or that this is just a phase of rebelliousness, or an intentional act to hurt them. They must listen to the voice of reason. Perhaps seek out counseling, with you and both your parents there. God Bless.

P.S.: I am a Christian who knows my God does not judge you on that basis. Love conquers all.

I'd suggest asking people in the Hindu faith for advice on how to come out and how to help your parents come to accept your sexuality.

Talk to a social worker or someone else before you come out. Then tell them and make sure someone has your back if something goes wrong.
