I'm making a miniture boat for science class

Can be made with anything but its a contest to see which one holds the most weight.

Nowhere on the boat can it be longer than a dollar bill and it can only have the height(thickness) of a quarter
Any special ideas that noone will think of?
i.e. soaking wood in oil, spreading the weight out like a waterbug.
what's a very bouyant house-hold substance that noone will think of??

Ideally, see if you can make your boat out of Ivory soap. That has such a low density that it cannot sink.
