Is it ok to be emo????????(should i stay emo or just gothic)?

I am emo and i dont know if i should because people might make fun of me!And the last thing i want is people talking about me!!!!!PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(when i said gothic i wear black and everything but i dont worship saitin i just like black and red ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

just wear what you want and read as much as you want. if someone starts talking about you, tell them that if they don't keep their mouths shut, you'll cut out their liver and feed it to them.

Goth in no way shape or form means that you worship satan (not "saitin" that's a type of grain, or "satin" that's a fabric). As for emo, that is such a horrible label that doesn't even truly label half the people that are called it just for their clothing and haircuts(it's basically just the popular style of today). I remember back when Emo used to just be short for emotional, just a state of mind. If you want to be proud and awkward-be goth. If you want to be scared and awkward-be emo. No matter which one you choose, you're going to look back on pictures from now once you get a little older and say "wow, how dumb was I?!" because that's what all of us goth/emo kids do when we grow up and realize that we don't need to sew ourselves into a scene in order to be who we really are, we don't need to create personas around our clothing. Just be who you are! Find who you are in the least destructive manner possible and wear what you want while doing it! Good luck!

Emo is a state of mind or genera or music. Gothic is a branch off of a religion, and some things in buildings, houses, and other design things are refereed to as Gothic. so both are really not a "style". If you say,"Wow look at me I must be emo," but you're worried about what some one is going to think about you, or say about you and it makes you embarrassed, then it probably not what you really want to do, and you are just trying to follow what's "in". Just be real and do what you are comfortable with, not what others want you to be. I bet they would rather hang out with the real you then even speak to a phoney.

well, if your worried about people liking you, you shouldnt be emo. emo tells people, i dont give ashit what you think and gothic is just a sence of clothing. so, no to the emo because i doesnt show you. i guess the only other choice would be gothic, but why dont you try scene. ts a lot cooler and you have more options in clothing. no matter what you wear, it is still cool if you are scene!

emo's cool, if you wear those baggy pants and wallet chains and draw tears on your face, then you may be gothic, especially if you think satin is cool. be what you want, but dont call yourself gothic if you are all of the above. rock on.

some of my friends are emo. theyre great i love them but im not emo. anyways emo people usually dont care what people think so i dont think your emo. if you want to be stop caring what people think!! and stay emo. emo kids are awesome!
