I was around 14 when Avril first came out and all into that teeny bob stuff still. I remember her still being pop but kind of like a wannabe rebel. I'm 19 and haven't watched MTV for a few years now, and I just caught her new video. Is it just me or did she totally sell out? I remember her always saying that she would never do any of those "lame dance videos" yet there she is shaking her butt in little shorts about stealing someone's boyfriend.
What do you think? And can I be completely honest with you... As sad as this may sound, I think she's less annoying and looks better doing this new stuff.

Yeah she did sell out, but I imagine her record label / manager convinced her it was the best career move. However, it was her decision to make.

wow...she did sell out...i barely recognize her...to be honest, this could be any other pop princess....i liked the old avril....but it is a catchy tune and i am interested in hearing the remainder of the album to see if the other songs are all like this or if she goes back to her roots.......interesting
