Yes, well you're not alone. Your mind is playing " avoidance" tricks on you.
e.g. : why should I study for this exam, when it's pointless and I'll never use it in real life, and there are children starving in Africa.

It's just avoidance, a lot of people get it.

Get a desk/table in your room
Put all your class notes, textbooks in ordered piles round the desk. Read through them all. Take more notes of the pieces you need to learn , but haven't yet, make the notes in shortened/list form if poss. Then learn them from the lists.
( There's something about writing the info. down again , from memory if poss. that really gets it stuck in there)
Set yourself targets
e.g. when I,ve done this section I can go to the kitchen for a drink and a biscuit.
Stop for 5 mins every 20 (reading/memorising)
Stretch your legs for 10 mins at the end of every hour.
You have 42 days . This is the time to start. Avoid all alcohol or mind altering behaviour throughout . Plan a treat at least once a week, e.g. 3 hours at the cinema/bowling.

Class: If your teachers are any good they will be covering everything you need to know , if you listen and pay attention in class you will be saving yourself a lot of revision time . Take notes if you can. Concentrate on writing what the teacher is saying down, try and keep up: (treat it like a computer game where you have to keep up)Then all your focus will be on their teaching, I'm sure you can concentrate on your computer games ,treat this the same.
Try and stay alert, sit at the front, don't fall asleep sitting by a hot radiator ,or in the sun.
Go to bed and get 8 hours sleep a night.
Keep hydrated ( drink water not caffeinated drinks)
Eat properly.
Good luck

I found on occasion I did better if I didn't try as hard. Eg in a Greek History course I got a B- when I tried to read the heavyweight tome we had been asked to read and an A- maybe B+ when I revised using the Encyclopedia Britannica which had everything I needed on two or three pages. I used all sorts of wheezes to avoid the slog. Cheat guides to plays and novels, checking out what last year's questions were, Book Review Digest, etc. Obviously the internet can now make you a complete expert in five minutes.

It is hard to be motivated when the pressure is on you. Think about what your expected grades are and what you can do with them. Look at jobs for those with no qualifications. I told my kids that exams gave them choice throughout their life, that if they quit they would never have. Menial jobs or a life on benefits is not really something to aspire to. This is the time of your life that all you have to do is study, food is provided a roof over your head etc. If you take your foot off the pedal now you will regret it. If you have to go back as an adult learner the college courses are evenings (ruins your social life), you have to pay, and you have to fit in working and studying. Do it now, right first time, and go party for the summer!

Good luck, work hard - it is worth it!!

don't worry too much as everyone else is in the exact same boat as you. Make yourself a timetable and try sticking to it - make it as flexible as possible, giving yourself 30 minutes of study blocks and 30 minutes doing something else such as watching tv, playing on your console or whatever else it is you enjoy. Try your best that way you wont have any regrets! Just to add 6 weeks is plenty if time to cram in a lot of revision - i'm speaking from experience!! Bytesize is brilliant for quick revision so seize the opportunity and don't let it go to waste! Finally you could team up with a study buddy, that way you could both keep the motivation alive if one of you starts to feel lazy. Good Luck!x
