I am lookinf for a full time job in clerical. I was laid off my last job. So far I have handed out resumes to offices, posted many jobs on line, secured and interview and did well and will be looking for work through a program where I can secure a job with the department of labor. Is there anything else that I can be doing to procactively look for and secure a job? I want to work not only for a salary but to stay busy and active and to help others with the gifts and talents and abilities that I have. Thank you for any answers you have.

Tell friends and family. Send them a copy
of your resume with a thank you letter.

Note: Friends and family can be very helpful, but you must have a hard emotional shell because they may give you opinions you don't want to hear. Tough love.
