I wanted to ask this question really to achieve more information on the candidates. So far, I like Hilary Clinton, but with all the negative media and worries about Bill, I just can't seem to get the information on what she stands for. Voting for the President is a very important issue to me and my family and I would love for others on Yahoo Answers to please join in and let me know what one may think. Also, I really like hearing other peoples opinions and thoughts or worries. I know my worry is health care and the minimum wage.

I am asking WHO do you favor in the 2008 election and WHY? I don't necessarily expect anyone to decide right now nor have I actually made my own choice. If I wanted to do what Steven H commented on than I wouldn't be asking this question on Yahoo Answers! After all that is what this sight is for! I will not vote for Obama cuz he is too creepy with the Muslim stuff. I am just interested in public knowledge. Knowledge that I may not have seen or heard yet.

Obama is too green. No world experience to deal with W.O.T.
He needs more experience in Congress.

Clinton would be a nightmare with hubby as the Mrs.

I wiuld like a strong principled candidate who will defend the most defenseless among us. That way I know they will have the best interest of the majority of Americans.

With almost 17 months before the election, it seems a bit early to have made up your mind. Some of the people who have thrown their hats in the ring will not be there when the time comes to vote, they will have given up, either by poor showing or mistakes. There is time for almost all of the fore runners to fall by the wayside due to mistakes. I always vote but I don't make up my mind until perhaps a couple of months before the election. Sure there are some that I like now, but only time will tell if they can remain in the game.
Listen to what they say, see if they remain true to what they said 6 months ago or have they changed with the polls? If a candidate believes in what he/she stands for, they will not change their message. They will have gotten their mistakes out of the way & either addressed them or lied by saying that isn't what I really said, it was taken out of context! They have good speach writers, no need for mistakes when speaking to the press or the people. Consistency.

I'm totally passionate about politics, but thinking about the 2008 election is exhausting. Everyone is out now because they need to raise money, but it is too soon for those of us who have small wallets. Give us a mental break and let us chill on stupid American Idol for a while.

So much can happen between now and the election, I think we're making a mistake by selecting frontrunners now. Maybe they won't be the right person for the job when the time comes.

First of all, how about someone not named Bush or Clinton. What are we, a monarchy? I don't know who I'll vote for yet, It's still too far off. It won't be for Hillary, though. She is too phony. How about that fake southern accent she spoke with the other day. What's next? Maybe she'll rap to a group of African-Americans.

I'm going to vote for Obama. Because the Republicans got us into this mess of a war and we need a Democrat to pull us out. Our economy has worsened under Republicans too. I am not going for Clinton because she voted for the war and now is coming up with numerous excuses. Obama is an honest man who has said he was wrong and politicians these days are coming up with the worst explanations and excuses ever to try to get out of a situation or fault (ex. Bush with the war), So my vote is for Obama and I hope he does a good honest job and improves our relationships with other nations.

Barack Obama...for once I think that this is a politician with intelligence and, unlike so many other politicians, I think he seems like a fairly trust worthy guy.

Now Hillary, on the other hand, I would not trust her at all.

100% Hillary Clinton. Her views on health care alone are worth voting for. When picking a candidate to vote for, I choose my 3 most important issues and find the candidate that has views closest to mine. No one person is going to think exactly like me, so I pick my battles and vote that way.
Good luck.

Well I saw a campaign ad for Eliot Spitzer, who just became governor of NY for his 2010,"2010" campaign. I think the whole campaign thing is really getting out of hand, I'll decide in 2008
not now.

Congratulations you are the first to ask this today. We usually get 3 or 4 a day.

How about if you research for yourself. Read the websites of each candidate, listen to what they say, whatch who is supporting them and which ever on comes closest to your beliefs that is the one to vote for.
