If the keygen or crack is inside a zipfile and you opened it without knowing the source it's the same as opening any suspicious package you take your chances if it'll blow
up in your face or not. These Keygens are often spyware
renamed as Keygen to trick users into downloading them
then poof the user only figures it out when it's too late :(
Everything on a crackers sight is tainted goods not to
be trusted.

All cracks are potentially harmful. A hacker has found a way to manipulate the intended code. Depending on how good the hacker is or the hacker's intentions determines just how harmful. Keygens are not harmful generally, but can contain viruses or trojans.

Running cracked software and keygens etc is fine IF the computer they are on is never connected to the web. For surfing you will need a separate clean computer. Everyone should have at least two PCs - a dirty one full of cracked fave games & apps, and a second "clean" one for surfing.

The bad thing about Cracks-Key gens etc.. is that unless you know who created them, and trust them, they may contain harmful scripts. IF you are not sure what you are doing, and have the proper protection in place, you will be reformatting your pc soon.

Not always, but places that offer them oftentimes are. I wouldn't go browsing the web for them.
