perhaps if you make two semi-symmetrical circuits and have 2 stations each w/ an entrance and exit, a basic example is a figure eight
make it so that the train leaves one station and arrives at the other, and vice-versa. I have had it work with 4 stations, 4 different ride experiences before, on all 3 games, though it was tricky to get each section to have similar specs since they were all different.
this will produce multiple queues, and still be considered "one" coaster. the effect is similar to transport rides, but with the stations close together (or anywhere for that matter). the possibilities are endless. id experiment in the Coaster Designer of either RCT2 or RCT3, or even Arid Heights of RCT1 Loopy Landscapes Expansion Pack so that money is not in the way.

Wow, *YAWN* didn't really help...
Here's what I think--
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. You can't do that (Unless you actually have a roller coaster that in the game pre made)
2. Go to the gear icon when u click on the ride. Maybe theres a two way type :/
3. I don't know, I've never heard of this before, but it sounds cool!
HUGE FAN OF ROLLER COASTER TYCOON~
I BELIEVE you can get two tracks for a coaster by building two coasters side by side, then getting them sync'd together so that they run together at the same time. It's been a while since I've played the game, but I think that's what I used to do.
It depends what version of the game you have, I'm fairly sure that you can only have seperate trackes in the very newest releae version, all the older versions don't do it.
