This has been going on now for about two years and I don't want to complain but it seems to be getting worse as time goes by. I like to have my dinner at 6pm, she is still at work. I called her today at lunch time and they told me that she was too busy to come to the phone, I could not find the remote..that she lost!!! She made my breakfast this morning but the eggs were runny...she knows I hate that. I thought I would have my dinner then relax and get ready to watch idol tonight..but NOPE!! I have several very good shows I like to watch on TV in the morning time until 12 noon and she used to call me...she hasn't it two weeks. The house is no where as clean as it used to be either, my laundry has been some what neglected as well. BTW, her father hates my guts and won't say why...jerk! Well anywho...she just seems to be going down hill.
any suggestions?????

OK, she's working, you're not. You're complaining about not being able to watch TV,and about things not getting done around the house! I'm sure there is more to this story, and maybe you aren't working because you're on disability and can't get off your a** and do the laundry and housework right now. So, I'll try not to be too judgmental, but unless you're not able to do anything because of a physical inability... YOU do your laundry, cook and clean! She's tired after working all day! If you want your dinner at 6... go make it!

I would try talking to her about it. But definietly dont approach it as her being lazy. just say how you'd like to work on keeping the house a bit cleaner, and get into a better schedule with dinner so the two of you can spend more time together. Whatever you do, dont blame it on her or call her lazy. she's probably stressed, and that will totally backfire. make it seem like a joint effort.

I think that you should be the one working instead of your wife. If you want all those things, then she should be at home. But, first, treat her with respect and she will do the same.
Time for you to get a job and bring her home...or maybe she is tired of the way you treat her. Get some help before your marriage goes down hill.
I would recommend you getting this book called, "The Proper Care and Feeding of Marriage". You both could use this book.

My suggestion is grow up, Dude. This is not 1950. (Sorry) YOu say you like to have your dinner by 6pm but she's still at work????!?!?!?! Then what's wrong with YOU starting dinner? Of course she was busy, she was working when you called! DUH! If I was her, I wouldn't call you either. You sound like a whiner, and like nothing she does is good enough. If you whined cuz your eggs were too runny after I took the time to COOK them for your lazy azz.....I'd prolly cram them down your throat plate and all! Be glad you have a woman WORKING to help you pay bills, who still seems to TRY to do things for you, even though all you can do is complain about it. Sorry to rip you a new one, but you really do deserve it.

She is working and bringing money into the house. You are home relaxing and while she is working. I think you are the lazy one. Why are you making her do all the work in the house? If she is working at least as many hours as you are doing. Then you should do half of the housework. Stop being a little boy and grow up.

Men you're the one who's lazy. You don't have maid to clean, cook, make your laundry. Your wife is working too. Why don't you do the things you can do. You are grown up. No wonder your father in law hates your guts.

If you're not working right now why don't you do the house work?? Can't you cook for your self? you sound more like a child then a man. In my opinion a man who works hard, even if he isn't the bread winner deserves to be treated like a king and respected in his house, but you aren't doing anything to deserve your wife or her respect.
