Here's an example: Biologist (scientist of animals)- usually you need a high school diploma, and at least a bachelors degree in Biology (this would usually involve 2 years worth of "credits" in general courses in English, Math and Computers, Science, Social sciences, History or Geography, and usually a P.E. and Wellness class) then you'd focus on your major- in this case, Zoology, Genetics, Microbiology, Botany, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Anatomy, and a few advanced courses of your choice like Marine Science, or teaching Science in the Middle Grades or something
