The object of the game is to drive everyone else into bankruptcy. Now, if you play the game as it is set up, it is even a greater test of economics.

The thing is that most people allow the substitution of hotels and houses, but this is the function of the game! It shows how shortages can affect your ability to really make money.

I recommend that you sit down and really read the rules to see what a predatory, vicious game it can be

Monopoly is the best-selling commercial board game in the world. Players compete to acquire wealth through stylised economic activity involving the buying, rental and trading of properties using play money, as players take turns moving around the board according to the roll of the dice. The game is named after the economic concept of monopoly, the domination of a market by a single seller.

You win when your the only one left, you lose if you lose all your money. The object of the game is to go around the board once and then you can start buying places if you have enough money, when you pass go the banker has to give you $200(with the play money not real). If you role doubles like 3 times or something than you have to go to jail. Plus there are the cards that you have to do what it says on if you land on it on the board. And you can also buy houses and hotels eventually.

I must warn you though that Monopoly is: THE LONGEST GAME EVER INVENTED! :)

Well do you want the long or short answer, coz the short answer probably wont be enough info, so the long answer is better, so here it is:

STEP 1: Keep in mind that the ultimate goal is to have the most money and assets at the end of the game.
STEP 2: Make sure that you have all the pieces. The box should contain a game board, two dice, play money, 32 houses, 12 hotels, 11 tokens, a stack each of Chance and Community Chest cards, and a Title Deed card for each property.
STEP 3: Lay the board out with the Chance and Community Chest cards facedown on their respective spaces.
STEP 4: Choose your favorite token. Put all of the players' tokens on Go.
STEP 5: Select a player to be the Banker. This person takes care of the money, buildings and Title Deed cards.
STEP 6: Distribute the money. Each player gets two $500 bills, two $100 bills, two $50 bills, six $20 bills, five $10 bills, five $5 bills and five $1 bills for a total of $1,500.
STEP 7: Have each player roll the dice to see who goes first. The highest roll wins, and play moves to the left.
STEP 8: Roll the dice and move that many spaces.
STEP 9: Buy a property from the Bank, if you wish, when you land on it. If you opt not to buy a property on your turn, the Banker may auction it to the highest bidding player. Bidding can start at any price and anyone may bid on the property.
STEP 10: Pay rent if you land on a property owned by another player. He or she must remember to ask for it before the player after you throws the dice.
STEP 11: Take a card if you land on Chance or Community Chest and follow the instructions.
STEP 12: Keep the dice if you roll doubles - once your turn is over, you may roll again.
STEP 13: Go to Jail if you roll doubles three times in a row.
STEP 14: Collect your salary of $200 from the Bank every time you pass or land on Go.
STEP 15: Get out of Jail by any of these methods: Use a Get Out of Jail Free card; pay a $50 fine before you roll the dice on either of your next two turns; or roll doubles on the dice during any of the three turns following your incarceration (you don't get to take another turn). However, if you don't roll doubles by the third turn, you have to pay a $50 fine.
STEP 16: Win the game by snapping up all of the property on the board, ruining the other players and acquiring more money and assets than anyone else.

Tips & Warnings

* Keep your Title Deed cards faceup unless the property is mortgaged, in which case the Title Deed card is kept facedown.
* Mortgaged properties do not collect rent.
* Try to buy properties of the same color. You will collect higher rents that way, and once you own an entire group, you can put buildings on them.
* Keep your Get Out of Jail Free card or sell it to another player whenever you want. You determine the price.
* Jailed players may still buy and sell property or buildings and collect rent on their properties.
* If you land on Income Tax, you must decide whether to estimate your tax ($200) or pay 10 percent of your assets. This decision must be made before you add up your worth. Assets include cash, all properties and the price of all buildings.
* All properties may be sold or traded between players or mortgaged to the bank except for ones with buildings on them. Buildings have to be sold back to the bank at half the original price before a property can go on the market.
* Declare bankruptcy when you owe more than you can pay.
* Players may not loan money; only the Bank can.

the object of the game is to get rich and own a lot of property. You have to use economic skills to win. Don't just buy random things.

The object of the game is to have the most money in the end. So buy as much property as you can.

P.S. The more expensive the property, the higher the income. And don't forget to manage your money wisely so you don't get bankrupt.

the object of the game is to make all the other players go bankrupt you can do this by landing on properties and buying them if you get a set of three or two you pay extra money over a space of time you can enhance these properties so when they land on them you get more money you can trade when all of these properties have been bought giving you more sets. when you have more sets the more likely that your opponent will land on them resulting in you winning the game

First you start by placing the game board on the floor then you strip to what piece you're going to be for example, if u choose the shoe u must only wear one shoe, or if you pick the top hat u must only wear the top hat (NOTHING ELSE)
then you start by throwing the dice and yelling out "DOMINO Muthaphukka!" then you have to buy some land and that's where you slam your game piece like twister....then you give a lapdance to the person who lands on your property and they stuff the monopoly money in some exposed orifice! then you keep on playin' takin turns till u own all the property and got lap dances from all players!
