Does it upset you I never award Best Answer to short or one word answers? Would it be asking too much?

to show you actually have language skills by actually answering a question or is it wanting to be on the top of the pile more important?

Why would that be asking too much? I always try to give a serious answer to whatever question someone has. I think at least it shows some respect for the asker. On the other hand, if a lot of people think the same and there are a lot of responses already, I might still choose to contribute, but indeed keep it short. Maybe sometimes if someone has a short but extremely funny answer, you might condsider to give a best answer anyway? On top of the pile... not nessesarily important to me.

You dont award one word answers the honor of best answer because as a human being people should have the intelligence to speak in more than just one or two syllable terms...On the other hand, i hate the answers that are quoted directly from a website that are like, 3 pages long...im asking PERSONAL opinions, not wikipedia's...

I think that the "Best Answer" should be awarded to the person who answered the best, that probably doesn't take only one word. A "Best Answer" should be thoughtful and true, and should show that the person actually took time to answer the question, not breeze by, to get points.

I believe you answer lies in your question. You seem to be searching for some "deeper meaning" yet you ask questions that can be easily answered by either choosing yes or no. I think the answers you seek are not going to come from an outside source. I believe the knowledge you require has to come from within.

I dont think i've ever answered one of your questions, but if I had and only used one word, it would not upset me...I understand that you like to see the intelligence behind the answer... :o)

NO IT WOULD NOT UPSET ME BECAUSE I NEVER ANSWER MY QUESTIONS WITH ONE WORD OR SHORT ANSWERS. I ALWAYS ANSWER QUESTIONS WITH AS MUCH INFORMATION AS I CAN FIND ON THE SUBJECT BEING ASKED ABOUT BEFORE I ANSWER A QUESTION. I AM REALLY SLOW AND USUALLY THE LAST ONE TO POST THEIR ANSWER. BUT I THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO PUT THOUGHT AND EFFORT IN AN ANSWER.
