ive been on the same birth control pack for about 5 months now. im going on my third week into the pack and all of a sudden i noticed a brownish color blood then almsot like the staart of what woud seem to be a period. ivebeen bleeding for about a day now. is this normal? is this a sign of pregnancy?

That's breakthrough bleeding and is normal. It will stop eventually.
Sometimes it just happens or sometimes there is a cause, such as needing a pill of different strength. When I have breakthough bleeding it is usually due to my not being consistent with the time I took it (example: I'm sick and not able to take my pill that day. The next day I get breakthrough bleeding).
If you're still bleeding after 5 days, call your Gyn.
