Eighteen cubic feet. Translating the 6 inches into 1/2 foot, you would get 12X3X1/2 = 18 cubic feet.

Convert all the numbers to feet (the only one you have to change is 6 in = 1/2 foot), then just multiply the numbers to get

12*3*(1/2) = 36*(1/2) = 18 cubic feet.

Hi If it was 12x3x1 you would get an answer. Since the height is 1/2 a foot just divide the answer by 2.
