Making your own Television Show?

I have a good Television Idea, can anyone tell me the best way to get it out to someone?
Are there people looking for ideas?

You can pitch it to a television station and if they like it then they might buy your idea or else they might employ you as an executive producer. However many stations might knock you back before one accepts, and you have to be very well prepared and organized as to how the show is going to pan out over a certain number of seasons. But you must either copyright your idea or patent it before you pitch it or else they might simply steal it, arguing that they came up with the idea at the exact same time coincidently
