You have had good answers with most of the normal run of the mill places to go, for something different go to Old Town on the 192 some good entertainment all free. Some rides not free Slingshot, Dragsters plus others mainly for the young or young at heart Some good bars with plenty of character. Thursday nights is Motorbike night(hundreds turn up ) Friday and Saturday nights classic autos parade. all real beauties. both start at about 6.30pm.
Also Disney Magic Kingdom is for the very young strollers everywhere. Seaworld and Universal are my favorites, also a good show with dinner is Dixie Stampede (Dolly Parton theme) Take a look down International Drive plenty to do. But all in all there is something for everyone don't try to do to much,
A beach to visit is Clearwater on the Gulf

Universal Studios is great, do both parks and find time to go to Citywalk at the same location. Gatorland Zoo is kind of different, had a good time there. About an hour away is Kennedy Space Center, make sure you take one of the tours. We took the one with the Shuttle launch pads as opposed to the Apollo and Gemini tour, it was awesome. Disney is still the best, been there 9 times but it is expensive. Downtown Disney is cool too!! Have fun.

Disneyworld is fun but Universal and Islands of Adventure are awesome! City Walk is a blast. If you can get to the coast and like space stuff, Kennedy Space Center is really nice.

You should definitely check out Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. Also the Sea World there has amusement rides. There are also a few haunted houses that are pretty cool. There is also a place that does a medieval jousting contest and is set in the middle ages. Don't forget to check out ALL of Disney too, not just the Magic Kingdom!

Do you have a place to stay in Orlando? Check out the timeshares for rent. It's much cheaper than the Disney Hotels and even better.

Disney is extremely expensive. I brought my wife, and two children there for three days (3 different sections) and spent well over a $1,000 after tickets and food. If you do not have kids, wait for Disney until you do. Stick with both Universal parks and go from there. Also, it is not that far to head over to Cocoa beach. There is Ron Jon surf shop that is pretty cool to shop at. Have fun.

One tip is discovery cove, dolfin swimming. Others are Universal, KSC, Sea world, dinner show and so on. Disney are good but for adults I wouldnt recomend magic kingdom. If you have done it all and got time over maybe but its realy to childish if you know what I mean... Johan

All the responders gave you great tips. Depending on your time there, you may want to visit Busch Gardens Tampa. I had real fun there.

Don't forget Epcot and MGM studios as well.
