household and cosmetic products, shampoos, toothpastes, all sorts of smells, etc. I, personally, only use natural items and never use any of the above mentioned, however, living in a society that exudes all this stuff, I can't get away from it, especially since my roommate uses these things and brings dry cleaning home etc. And my landlord is insisting on installing new carpeting. Long story short, where can I go/live, where I will be no longer be exposed to any of this because I am getting progressively ill. I need to leave before I am too sick to do so. Are there any conscious communities?

There are many communities that are Eco-friendly but I think they tend to be more like communes. They are easy to find using google. You might be able to find some towns or neighborhoods by googling Eco-friendly towns/communities.

Find out why your so sensitive to things in the air, water and food. Your body is over reacting. Believe it or not it could be partly a mental reaction to something that has occurred in the past. The mental reaction can cause the body to manifest physical problems. Another avenue to approach the problem is see if your chemically out of balance. Are you deficient in any nutrients? Get a hair analysis test for mineral. Check your diet. Are you eating the same foods all the time? After I have gotten over a cold, my nose is so sensitive I can smell things that only dogs can smell. This is caused from the sinuses being too dry after blowing out all the mucus. I'm sure you live with it all the time. Find out where the imbalances are and how to put them back in balance. A good place to start is looking at your diet. Use the Nutrition Almanac to analyze the daily intake. See what nutrients are missing.

I live in L.A. and I am allergic to toxins also. I have been searching on the Internet for months for a place I can move to where the air is fresh and clean. The only place I've found so far that seems to have the fairest weather, the cleanest air and water is Taos, New Mexico. There is a lot of open places and small towns around there. Forget about a city night life. I can't live in humidity either so it's been tough. If you find a place, let me know.

Hi, this is a health condition which I am well versed in. And fact is... yes there are millions of people out there suffering form MCS and EI.

Go to http://www.mcs-america.org
and also
mcssafeshelterusa-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

you may find some help and or info on these sites.

You did not say where you were living right now.

Feel free to email me if i can help you in any way I will.

Fragrance Free Zone:
I hate to be the one to have to tell you this BUT.... your "personal fragrance" is no longer personal. Your "NOT so personal fragrance" literally took my breath away.
I had to get out of the line before I could even check out and I was gasping all the way to my car! Not funny when your throat is closing up !!!

Not everyone thinks you smell as good as you think you do!!! Not everyone wants to smell your perfume, cologne, aftershave or fragranced lotion. Nobody wants to sit close to you in your office, a waiting room, the doctors office, real estate office or even next to you in a restaurant, classroom, bank or check out line.

Not everyone, especially those who are already suffering with Cancer, Migraines, COPD, Asthma, Allergies, Fibromyalgia, MCS, or other illnesses. We are already struggling just to breathe, we don't want to smell your "NOT so personal fragrance."

You don't smell good... you literally stink and you make me and a lot of other people sick!

Making the Connection ---- Did you know that there are MANY people right here in YOUR community that have severe adverse Fragrance / Chemical reactions ? Some have it so severe that they can not leave their home or be part of society in a "normal" way. Some children have to be home-schooled. Just a whiff of fragrance, Bounce, Plug-Ins, or diesel fumes could cause a life threatening Anaphylactic reaction!

This is called MCS or EI. Multiple Chemical Sensitivity or Environmental Illness. This IS NOT a simple allergy.

There is a lot of information about MCS/EI on the web. There are MANY other health problems associated with MCS /EI. More common ones are links between people with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Gastrointestinal problems, porphyria and more. Do you have any of these illnesses? If so, do you continue to put chemicals and fragrances on your body and clothing. Learn what is in Bounce and I guarrantee you will NEVER use it again. learn what is in everything you put on your skin (skin is the largest organ of your body and absorbs into your blood) http://www.bodyburden.org/

Many children as well as teachers are having difficulty even being in classrooms because they are full of the "fragrance soup." Many office workers can no longer hold down their jobs because they have become so ill from fresh paint or new carpet being installed not to mention insensitive co-workers who insist on marinating in their perfume!

I won't get into mold issues here!

If you or someone you know is more than "inconvenienced" by fragrances
and/or everyday cleaning products and chemicals you may want to do some homework on MCS.

You can start by looking at the link below where you will find lots of information, printable handouts, posters, educational material (incase you need to enlighten a friend, co-worker, teacher, loved one or even YOUR DOCTOR who might be telling you "it is all in your head") !

Have you tried detoxification to alleviate some of the symptoms that you are experiencing? You may not be able to get away from ingesting the toxins that are making you sick but you can also do much to adopt a detox diet that helps in cleansing.

If you need some free information, here is a newsletter site that I subscribe to http://www.detox-cleansing-diet.com

Wow, I can't begin to fully appreciate your situation. Besides moving, have you considered food? Many people have found that they are less sensitive when they build up their body's natural glutathione levels. Glutathione is the body's master antioxidant. One of the jobs it does is detoxifies your body, particularly your liver. The best way that I know how to do this is by taking bio-available whey protein. Do not confuse with the common whey protein concentrate. This stuff is processed in a way that minimizes the effects of heat. Heat destroys the essential amino acids that are the building blocks for glutathione. Most Americans are deficient in their essential amino acids because they cook virtually all of their protein sources. Even milk is pasteurized - a fancy name for "cooked". Feel free to contact me if you want to learn more.

You are chock full of stuff and nonsense. Water is a toxin if you decide it is a toxin (thousands of people die from inhaling it every year!), you need to grow up and realize that if you are reacting to your environment it is because you are in generally poor health. How is it that millions of other people are not having the same "severe symptoms"?

Get healthier, it won't be an issue...

Good luck!
