are there games like senior games, freshman games, sophomores, juniors? like a game for each class year, or is it just by school so they only pick the best ones?

No. At least not here in california. There's only two divisions varsity, which are made up of the best players no matter what the class and the good but less skilled junior varsity which also doesn't go by class.

There is a Freshman team, A junior Varsity and Varisty ,,,,,, Varsity is the best players of the school Jr Varsity is the backups of varsity and Freshman is only freshman....

In Ontario (Canada) there are two divisions by age, junior is under 16 as of Sept. 1 & and senior is over 16 (but under 21) as a Sept 1. (or at least is was back in my day)

well there's varsity, which is the best players (regardless of class)

the there's junior varsity which has the next best (regardless)

and some schools have a 9th grade team if their school is big enough and there is enough talent

theres varsity (the best players)
Junoir Varsity (the not so good players but they cant be senoirs)
many schools also have a freshman team as well

it all depends, at my school we have a 9th grade team, a JV team, and a varsity but we have 1700 students. at a smaller school there may be only one or two teams, it all depends on the size of the school
