My child has an upcoming test on the U.S. government, and is having trouble answering the following question: How many votes have to be cast to approve a treaty, and who approves the treaty? Thanks in advance.

The senate. Two-thirds majority is required.

Treaties must be approved by 2/3 votes in the Senate.

Executive agreements (e.g., NAFTA), on the other hand, must be approved by a majority vote in Congress.

Both treaties and executive agreements must be approved by the President.

Um, I think that you put this into the wrong spot to ask stuff for.

And I think that it's like a bill, so the voting is the same. But I'm not really sure as we never really covered that in my US History class.

umm, im not shure, but i think it is the congress, and the congress has 7 people i think, so there has to b atleast 4 votes to win, it is 7 so theres never a tie, the congress aproves it too.
