Thanks people. Went into Computer Management and deleted in the shared folders.

Well shouldn't you wait of someone is using the file, or are you saying no one is using it but it says that. Best thing to do ctrl alt delete and bring up task manager and under processes end EXPLORER.EXE this is what controls that. Do not panic, your start bar and icons will dissapear. go to the location of the file and bring it up and then when done, file new process and start EXPLORER.EXE again

Depends on where the file is, and you really can't delete the file if someone else have it opened. If the file is on a common server which a group of peopel have access to, the file status might not have been updated and no one is currently having it opened. If the file is on your local computer, a simple computer shut down/restart to resolve the hanged file status. Hope this helps.

turn it off in task manager then delete it.If that dont work restart pc and go into safe mode and delete it.If all else dont work this will, Download a program called "Replacer".It replaces inuse files and then you can delete it

Have the person using it close it after they R done and then delete it.

Maybe? but it could of been yours by accident, wait till they shutdown there comp or shutdown ur comp and try again.
