My child has an upcoming test on the U.S. government, and is having trouble answering the following question: How many votes have to be cast to approve a treaty, and who approves the treaty? Thanks in advance.

to ratify a treaty it needs a 2/3 vote of the senate

Two-thirds of the Senate must vote in favor of a treaty to pass it. Their are 100 hundreds Senators in the Senate...2 from each state.

Why dont you have him look in his history book?
hes not going to learn if you feed him the answers.
