Personally I think that the US was made a country due to a religion conflict. MY OPINION:shape up or ship out. But I want to know the public's opinion.

Oh and to that third- the pilgrims came to America because England's king wanted 1 certain religion, and the pilgrims wanted their own beliefs, or so I heard.

I dont really care, although I do try and show a lil respect for the stars and stripes when we say it in school. If you're not going to say the pledge, it's fine with me, just at least shut up so others can say it. That's how I see it.

p.s. what do you mean... "i think that the US was made a country due to a religion conflict" ???

there is no longer something incorrect with the Pledge of Allegiance, it describes what our united states of america stands or stood for. seem up pink Skelton and the Pledge of Allegiance and you will hear a real looking and shifting rationalization of it. by technique of how the separation of church and state is an previous argument, it says in a nutshell that the government won't set up a faith. of direction i'm no longer shocked by technique of the translation as those are often an analogous human beings against the 2nd modification which needless to say states that the human beings have the superb suited to bear arms.

The pledge of allegiance was written 100+ years after the constitution, in 1892.

It was also written by a socialist -- albeit a Christian socialist.

The pledge also had no mention of "god" in it whatsoever. "Under God" was added to the pledge in 1954.

I have no idea what "shape up or ship out" has to do with the pledge of allegiance. I, for one, think the pledge is just a bunch of words. Whether someone says it or not has nothing to do with their allegiance, their patriotism, or their belief in a god for that matter.

It's our roots. It describes our country, the way it was meant to be. But that seems to be changing...
