No, Mexico is not and has never been part of the United States.
However, parts of the U.S. did belong to Mexico at some point in time.

Are you thinking of the state, NEW Mexico? If so, then yes. That's where I live. But if you mean the country Mexico, what grade are you in??? Of course its no!
Maybe you're thinking of Puerto Rico? Then the answer is yes.

Check your assignment. Mexico is a sovereign country, a republic. Very Americanized as are many countries around the globe.

No. They are thier own country. They are a voting member of the United Nations, which makes them an individual country, not attachments to any other country.
