try applying a little moisturizer on your face first to help the dryness. try that dream matte mousse stuff. it fills in pores and covers everything up really good

I've always had the same problem. After years of "research" and "trials", I found that moisturizer in the problem areas is a must. At night, after washing your face with a MILD cleanser for sensitive skin (I use Dove), apply Mary Kay Extra Emollient Night Cream. Every morning apply a day moisturizer for sensitive skin. (I use Dove for sensitive skin). The dry patchy skin is a skin sensitivity reaction to harsh cleansers or even the chemicals from your detergent on your pillow case. (I dont use bleach on my pillow case and only use ALL Free and Clear detergent and hot water wash). Sometimes it may seem that you have "pimples or zits" but it is actually dry skin or irritation from chemicals. Also, although sunscreen is recommended, I cant use it on my face because of the reaction. So I stay out of the sun and use hats to guard my face. If you know that you will be out in the sun for an extended period of time, use your sensitive skin moisturizer first, let soak in and then generously apply sunscreen to protect yourself. Lastly, on the makeup. Try NOT to use foundation if you can help it. Really, it is just MORE chemicals that your face doesnt want. If you want some color, I have used sunless tanners that are specific for your face and I use the ones with moisturizers in them. That way you can apply every few days and give your face a breather in between. Hope this helps. I know your frustration (and also know that a dermatologist sometimes will give you too much medication that will cause more problems).

try dermarest rosacea advanced redness treatment for the rosacea. My mom bought some for me and it works wonders! You can get it at Walmart and all you need is a little bit and it'll reduce the redness almost immediately. You can try buying a tinted moisturizer for the dryness or try making your own by simply adding some lotion to your foundation. Hope this helps :)

Try Age Rewind by Maybelleine. It is kind of heavy, however.
