How am I supposed to know? TAKE A TEST!

2007-03-08 09:29:31 · answer #1 · answered by Aaliyah & Natalie's Mommy 6 · 0 2

I did (HORRIBLY might I add) but I always had that problem during PMS, so it kind of went hand in hand. My SIL didn't with her first two children, either. I think it's just the majority of women do (kind of like morning sickness) and it is one major sign of early pregnancy. But, alas, no two pregnancies are alike, and some women don't get many (if any) symptoms. If you don't have the tender, swollen, breasts, be thankful. That was probably the worst part for me during the first trimester. You couldn't even look at them without them hurting, it was so painful. I had to sleep with a pillow underneath my breasts to hold them up at night because they were so painfully swollen. It is awful and I don't wish that on any pregnant woman!

My breast get super swollen and tender when I am going to start my period... It does not necessarily mean that you are pregnant. My breast never used to get like this, but in the past 2 years, they have started to increase in tenderness and swell up over a whole cup size. My doctor says it is completely normal and that our bodies are just overwhelmed with hormones. Don't worry, and if you still think you're pregnant, just get a test.

That's not the best sign of pregnancy.

Swollen/Tender Breasts:
Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance, birth control pills, impending menstruation (PMS) can also cause your breasts to be swollen or tender.

In other words: wait until you MISS your period, take the test and go from there.

You can't base a answer just on the fact that your breast are tender. We would need more info but if you are worried go to a doctor or buy a test.

Definately need more info.

Swollen and tender breast could also be pre-menustral symptoms and not always pregnancy.

Not necessarily. You could be PMSing. It could be that time of the month and sometimes breasts get tender. If you are trying to get pregnant then this is a good time to test.

You could be pregnant or you could just be having normal tenderness. My breasts get unusually sore around my period. I would probably go to a doctor to be sure.

Could be but need to know a little more. The first thing that made me feel i was pregnant was the sore breasts (other than missed period)

Right before your period sometimes you get swollen breasts. So not nessesarily. Take a test if you are concerned.
