I have an incredible husband who I love deeply. He works as hard as he plays just as I do and I'd like to show him how much I appreciate "him" this 7th year of Marriage. We haven't taken any special time out for ourselves to play so its way overdue. I'd like to R & R on "our day"
Any ideas! It'll be Memorial Day weekend so I want to reserve asap. Thanks! We're in Buena Park,CA.

Tell him you are planning the whole day as a surprise for him. Think of his special interests and go off that. For instance, if he likes golf, tell him one part of the day is reserved for him to teach you golf (just imagine him putting those arms around you to help you with your swing!), go to his favorite restaurant, go to a fancy motel, take his favorite DVD along to watch with him, give him a back rub and/or a foot rub, possibly leading up to a romantic event. Do some fun stuff, like running along the beach, blowing bubbles like we used to do as kids, skinny dipping in the hotel pool late at night. Use your own creativity to think of stuff to surprise him with! Happy anniversary!

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

How about taking him to 7 places? Each place represents each year of your marriage?? You could do a scrap book filled with the 7 Wonders of Your marriage. List or have photos of 7 things that you love the most about him, 7 things silly things that you remember, 7 sad things, 7 of his favorite things..you get the idea. Congrats and heres to many more happy years for the two of you!!
