dont mind the others. i know this is your first child and you want things to be just right and even if it is about a carseat color it is still something special you want to match with your child

I got a carseat cover from target to match for my little girl... i have had boys so my seat was blue, it also was a little dingy looking form the abuse of boys so i wanted something that looked clean. ... its now pink!

you can also look here for other ideas http://www.takeastroll.com/snuggler.htm

Don't you people know that putting her baby in a blue car seat will make her grow a penis? Seriously, why would you possibly care if other people know which set of genitals your baby has by the colour she is surrounded by? That is so very weird.

A replacement cover should only EVER come from the manufacturer of the seat. The strap slots need to be in just the right places or it can interfere with the safety of the seat, which is what they are for. SAFETY!

Man! Lay off guys! I was this same way and still am to this day with my daughter. She is two now and not a day goes by that she doesn't wear either pink or purple : ) And yes, all of my accesories (car seat, stroller, diaper bag, etc.) are all PINK!!!

The people who answered previousvly probably don't have kids or are too old to remember their first! LOL --- J/K

Anyway, you can go online and buy replacement covers for that seat. You can go to either the manufacture's website or even try Ebay.

And just for your information: Please be sure to check with your friend to make sure that the seat was never in a car accident. It is said that even a minor bumber to bumper collision can throw a car seat out of wack. They say you should ALWAYS throw away your car seat if you are in ANY type of accident and also to NOT buy a used seat unless you know whom it's coming from and know for a fact that it has not been in any accidents.

Hope this helps!

It's a car seat. Everything you have for a little girl doesn't have to be pink. Take the car seat, use it while you can and return the favor by passing it alon to someone who needs it when you're finished with it.

You can get all kinds of patches in girly styles to adorn your car seat. Big flowers or butterflies. Whatever you want. Stitch or glue them to the canopy. The rest of the seat will be covered by your baby so not a big deal.

babies seldom care what color their car seats are.

before you accept the generous gift of the car seat, you need to check it out and make sure that it is still appropriate for the needs of your child.

there have been some recalls of car seats recently.

as to your decorating question: there are several sources from which to purchase decorator covers for your little bundle of joy's seat. they aren't cheap.

below are a few links. hope this helped.

It is recommended that a carseat not be used if it can be helped.... instead of buying a new cover, why not just invest in a new neutral seat?
If you must use a used seat, please check it for recalls, and also it should not be more than 6 years old, and if it was ever in an accident it should be tossed.....

Car seats are about safety...not fashion.

And they aren't cheap...I'd just be grateful to be getting one for free.

You may want to invest your time instead, on searching the internet for the make and model and make sure that it's still deemed "safe" by the manufacturer. Stuff does get recalled from time to time.

I am of the opinion that you keep the seat blue. No one should be looking at the color of your car seat. If you have a girl just dress her in girl colors and no one will notice the seat.
