1. Roger Clemens
2. Greg Maddux
3. Nolan Ryan
4. Tom Seaver
5. Sandy Koufax
And, by the way, Csharp32, Ryan's won-loss record needs an asterisk next to it saying that he played for some of the shittiest teams to step on a baseball field! His career ERA, for god's sake, is 3.19!

Walter Johnson, Sandy Koufax, Lefty Grove, Tom Seaver, Roger Clemens.
Wow. That question got harder the more I thought about it. Except for Walter Johnson, you could replace 4 of my top 5 guys off the list with good argument and be right.
Rivera is a great pitcher. But for reasons I don't care to explain, relievers don't carry as much weight with me as starting pitchers.

In no particular order:
1. Satchel Paige
2. Nolan Ryan
3. Walter Johnson
4. Sandy Koufax
5. Roger Clemens
And Rivera is actually ranked #3 right now. Less hits allowed that anyone near him, less walks and an ERA half a run lower than the next best. Plus he did it all in the juiced ball era.

Cy Young should be #1 on everyone's list. Hell, they have a yearly award named after the guy! All the pitchers in the MLB strive every year to win that award! 511 wins, right? Yeah, he's probably the greatest pitcher ever. I think 2nd on that list would probably be Nolan Ryan. 7 No Hitters? Remarkable!

Walter Johnson, Sandy Koufax, Lefty Grove, Tom Seaver, Roger Clemens. Wow. that query have been given greater good the greater advantageous i assumed approximately it. aside from Walter Johnson, you would be able to desire to swap 4 of my appropriate 5 person men off the checklist with good argument and be precise. Rivera is an surprising pitcher. yet for reasons i don't care to describe, relievers do not carry as plenty weight with me as beginning up pitchers.
