There is no one thing that lets you know you're in love. If you are in love then you will def know for sure it just kind of hits you adn you relize you couldn't imagine spending the rest of your life without that person. If you have a question about it then my guess is your not really in love. You might really really care about the person but you'll know for sure when you fall in love i promise!

Wow lots of romantics here. I envy the 12 yr marriage. I on the other hand dont believe in love as it is described here. I believe the only true unselfish love is with our children or parents. That love is not motivated by anything other than love itself. I look at my kids and they do not have motives for the way they look at me. It is completely unselfish. Just like Gods love for all of us.
After 6 yrs of marriage I believe it is more about cooperation and understanding. Companionship and having each others back. Respect is very important.
Love is the foreground, it is not what keeps marriage going. It is a good start. If you are asking because you are an adult looking for that special someon, then look at how you will deal with the bad times together. How you will work together to live out your lives happily.
It is a big step truly study yourself and the other person before you start thinking of forever.

True love is when love somebody for everything they are. You just accept their bad qualities and bring out their good qualities. Love is when you are with someone, and you look back and say "wow, we made it through all that together".
Love is when you hate the way the other person snores, but you can't sleep when they are snoring else where. Love takes time. True love is not a feeling in itself but something that just is. You'll know that you really love that person if you read this and smile.

I don't think you can ever "know" that that is the "one" person you're suppose to spend the rest of your life with. I just know that this person should be the one you can be your TRUE self with. I had to hide "myself" in a past relationship, and I hated it.

when everytime you linto that persons eyes.. they take your breath away. You can never get tired of seeing that person. There is nothing that you wouldnt do for that person.. You melt at just the thought of their name. It doesnt take long for you to miss that person even if its because they went off to work and you know they are comming back soon. everything you do toghther seems so right. It doesnt matter where you go... what you do as long as you are together. When you kiss you can tell.... hold that person... they hold you back the power of the embrace..... they empower you with their energy of love. There is so much passion when you look into their eyes you feel fire burning so deep within your soul... when you look into their eyes and know what they are thinking how they feel... when they are sad or glad.... omg I can go on and on... i am so in love with my husband.. 12 yrs of marrage and still strng. 21 yrs of being together. were best friends along with the passion. ;o) I am going to go cuddle right now hes sleep and i miss him.. ;o)

When that person is the first thing you think of when waking up and the last thing you think of when go to sleep. When you find that you can't live without the person. When everything about that person makes you smile, even when they are not around you physically. When you find yourself wanting to be a better person.
