Read the article. The school was horribly irresponsible, the teacher should be fired, the students expelled. I mean, is that not gross? Were the kids even protected? Wouldn't there have been foreplay. UGH! Sick!

What do you mean wouldn't there have been foreplay.

My guess is these children are a bunch of delinquents. It took place in a shop class, and chances are it was a huge work shop room with plenty of benches and equipment to hide behind, and while the teacher was occupied (Iikely totally distracted by other students and kept busy) the two "children" (likely they'd screwed many a time before this) decided they would give the others a treat.

Frankly, the teacher was only wrong in as much as they didn't see it. I can see it happening and only taking a minute or so to "put on the display" to other students.

Obviously they were CAUGHT, and how the school chose to handle it all perhaps was another matter, but stupid students like that (and for petes sake are you surprised that grade 6'ers are having sex these days!)...there were girls in my daughter's class in middle school who were doing it on film the dirty tramps. Just try and tell the parents too they would likely shoot you before they ever believed thier little "precious sweetheart" could ever do such a dirty deed.

Am I angered? Only at the stupidity of that entire class if they kept it all under covers and didn't report it and at the kind of parents who raise kids like that.

It makes you wonder about our society's ideas towards sex. Sex was once something sacred and special. Something you share with someone your really love.

It has now become a brand for the media to sell. Sex used to be something important and beautiful. Now it seems like its o.k. for EVERYONE to do it. Our kids all want to be like all those people on MTV (not that its entirely MTV's fault). There is too much sex everywhere these days. Overexposure has desensitized our society and most unfortunately our children!

Something needs to be done to the staff and the parents. Who is raising these kids?????????? These kids also need to get some mental attention. Sex is not just an act. Its so much more. Too much for these junior high kids to handle mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Its a very grim commentary on our society.....

I hope it angers people. If it doesn't then I really feel for that individual. Being from Indiana, I've noticed that we've been getting a lot of bad press recently. This incident, the sorority kickout at DePauw University (my alma mater), and the sad incident of the murder-suicide with the man flying his plane into his in-law's house. Hopefully that's the worst of it for awhile...

Another Great Reason I Home School My 6th Grade Son! The stories these days get worse and worse..... I am equally appalled and angered... especially at the lack of response and the apparent lack of responsibility by the school and teacher, Yuck!

That's just WRONG!!!!!!!!! I mean, what is wrong with the schools in these days! That is truely disapointing. It makes me lose faith in the educational system, the schools, the morality of our society, and teachers. I am so suprised to see how audacious teens have become, and how lazy, unconcerned, and political our schools have become. I am truly DISGUSTED!

I can't believe that a tougher disciplinary action wasn't enforced.

The Indianapolis school system just took a big nose-dive.

Unbelievable! Literally unbelievable!

What else would have to be going on in that classroom for no one to notice?
