you know how rich we'd be. Besides with the points that you'd get you can't do anything with them anyway but earn your way to the top and when can do with that then? once you hit the top that's it. it's not like we can trade the points in for like free on the net.

I think it would be great if you could trade in points and download music or something like that. Heck, even open up a little store where like 100 points equals $10 or something. Ok, that last one might be a little extreme. However, Yahoo does have a nice little system here to capitalize on something like that. It would probably mean them putting ads all over answers but I could live with that.

Rather than being paid, maybe if at certain point levels you received an Internet coupon or something like for Amazon or something.

The down side is that the number of people who would post SOMETHING JUST to get the points would significantly increase!

It's not like I mind doing it & most others don't seem to mind either.

Only if we give concise, accurate, and intelligent answers. Otherwise, there would just be the usual short, inaccurate, idiotic answers. People would then be paid, not only for good answers, but also for answers that put others down and one word answers. The point system isn't perfect, but it is alright.

Why pay when so many people are willing to do it for free?

Google Answers had a pay-per-answer system, and it's gone under. The bottom line seems to be that people enjoy sharing their knowledge and, of all things, helping people out.

To pay, you'd have to prove all the answers, monitor fraud, do a million other things. If it's not broke, they're not going to fix it.

No I like the way it is now. I dont do this for the points I do it because I like to. I dont do things for a reward at the end.

Yes. Because you are giving your time which in some case is very vital. You can't regain time that you have lost. But you can learn how to use it wisely.

No, the payment is in the entertainment we get from reading and answering questions.
