What type of car are you moving? An everyday driver, a collector car, or a not running project? You need to ask a more specific question, since there are different types of vehicle carriers. Some use "open" trucks for everyday drivers; others have closed vans for collectible or project cars.
Still others drive the vehicle from place to place.

You also need to ensure that the carrier is insured, bonded and capable of moving the vehicle to and from it's proper location (are there any low bridges or weight-restricted roads between the place where the car is presently and the place to which the car is being transported?). Check the BBB in the state in which the company is licensed before entrusting your car to anyone!
