Which rental car companies don't require a credit card? I have no credit history, and am looking for companies that will take debit cards or something of that nature.

Most will rent to you with a cash or debit card deposit. Usually around 300 but could be more.
Avoid Enterprise like the plague...they are evil....they will charge your debit card over and over without permission...I know I used to work there and experienced it. They treat anyone without a credit card like scum. They will actually run your credit without telling you as well.
Go with Hertz...many customers we did not help went there and rented successfully using their debit card as a credit card, no deposit, no credit inquiry, no rude "managment trainees," no psycho pressure into extras.
Anyone thinking of working at ERAC...don't!!
If you are there now and want to blast me, just take my advice and search for another job, there is life after ERAC and you don't deserve to be treated like you do for shiddy pay/long hours/ripping off customers/washing cars in your good clothes, etc.
