...you are a person with lack of luck?

Or there is another statement...that if you are lucky in the first phase of your life (ex. until thirties)....you wont have it in the rest of your life or vice versa?

I generally don't pay too much attention to luck as a phenomenon. Other than being lucky enough to have rich parents, people seem mostly to make their own luck. What I mean here is that opportunity comes to many people, but those who are prepared to seize it and become succesful may appear only to be lucky.

There is no luck. 'Luck' is just the word we use to describe the effects of random chance in our lives. No one has any better 'luck' than anyone else as a trait. Random events might turn out better for one person than another, but it is not a trait like having 20/20 vision or being left handed or having green eyes. Random chance is not consistant over the long term, it is random. Believing anything else is just superstition.

I don't know...I'm Irish, and I've always had bad luck (w/ winning anything...good luck in friends/family...)
Now my fiance had always had good luck winning stuff...that is until him and I started dating!! What is up w/ that??!! I guess I passed my bad luck onto him!!! Darn!!
