This is interesting in that if you would have asked this a year ago, Shaun Alexander would have been included and probably would have won the contest. In addition, two years ago, Edgerrin James probably would have been included along with Priest Holmes.
Today it is probably LT, but the test of time is the true test of a running back. In that regard, the other three do not even belong on the list with him. However, a down year, or and injury could knock LT right off this list next year.

LT first, Larry Johnson and Rudi Johnson (go tigers) tied for second and then Reggie Bush.

tomlinson def.
out of the four, tomlinson is the one who can do everything, run, catch, pass. He is so versatile and got so many moves that the chargers don't really need an adequate passing game. LJ is tough but not as versatile, same with Rudi.
Reggie Bush is not polished enough to be incorporated into an elite running back status. He got the most potential tho.

LT is great overall, but reggie bush and larry johnson dominate the speed division and rudi johnson is like a tank. but LT is the best of those four.

L.T. no doubt about it. Then LJ, Bush and Rudi. And if you put Rudi Johnson you have to put Willis McGahee and Lawrence Maroney on there too.

ok are u asking who I like or who is the best? bc if ur askin whos the best than thats a stupid ? LT dominated the league breakin records averaging 2 plus TD's a game but me personally like LJ hes a hard runner how goes through ppl. But i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say give reggie a few years and a FB like Lorenzo and he will just as dominate as LT is now

as in which running back is best at his position, which running back is the best at his position?
LT=best overall running back in the nfl.
Reggie Bush= getting there, still has a lot to prove
LJ=best power running back, however, cannot pass block
Rudi Johnson=the dark horse, definitely underrated.
Best running back in the NFC= Brian westbrook
