We spend time arguing over politics and national health coverage, then eat U.S. food products like beef, chicken, and cheese that is tainted with homones and pesticides that are causing more cancers than ever. Shouldn't we demand that farmers stop using these harmful substances?

I agree! The hormones that are added are just killing us quicker. The meat which is raised without the added junk is so expensive, but it is worth it. I don't know why farmers have to use all these added cr*p to stuff.

I do not eat anything from a store.
Grow you own veggies and kill your own wild game for meat.

I have friends that have a all organic dairy farm where I get my milk and cheese.

I know what goes in my garden and deer will not hold still for hormone shots.

The answer is just that simple, get the food yourself.
If you are too lazy to get your own food you have no room to whine.

No, I like the food just the way it is. I wasn't put on this Earth to eat things I don't like. I'll keep eating my hormones and pesticides thank you very much.

Obviously if they are "unnecessary" then we should not use them.

I guess, as with anything, we have to see which course of action causes the most good and the least harm, or the most "net good."

I don't have the facts, but thank you for making me think about this issue. Raising awareness is always good!

I agree. FDA and Chemical Co's are in bed with each other.

Did you know SOY in large amounts [and Americans eat way too much of it daily] is harmful as well.

If many Americans bought an apple or peach with a worm in it, they would sue the grocery store.
So we eat gobs of gobs of pesticide.
Get use to it.

I think labeling and information are the answer, and let the market decide.
