i am a complete pc novice and my 2nd account is saying there is infected files . what do i do about it? please

2nd account meaning on your computer or yahoo? If there are infected files you might need an Anti-Virus program. Or you might want to get a new hard drive. I recently suffered a hard drive failure and had to go out an buy a new hard drive. It was a Maxtor. If the information is important on your drive I would recomend looking into getting a data recovery program. If you have the cash you could also go to some stores such as Best Buy and they will recover your files for you.

Run a virus scan weekly.
