Theoretically, no the two are not compatible. However, the Sun Sign is not the only important part. What are the moon sign and the Ascending Signs of the two people? These signs could be more compatible.
Virgo is typically stubborn, being an earth sign. They also tend to be perfectionists. Gemini is usually fickle and may not always be very stable (which the Virgo may not like).
Neither of the two are heavily dependent on having a partner and showing emotions, so that is a good thing.
It could work, but it would probably take a LOT of effort to keep the fire going.

I went out with a Virgo (obviously I'm a Gemini) and we had awesome sex nearly every single day and we both shared and loved to share our thoughts and intelligence with each other but we fought alot and we both made each other sick to our stomachs so we broke up and now we're both in much better relationships and we're both engaged. So the answer is that we're probably not compatible.

well they shouldn't be a good pair because one is air the other earth. BUT the two are ruled by mercury so there may be some similarities there. Just go with whatever you think is right though
