i have a family member recieving treat,ment for HEP C...he has bcbs but a 550$monthly co pay,i?

Hi, I am a little unsure about the family member's circumstances and what the $550 monthly co-pay is for. If that really means the monthly premium for the medical insurance, then you probably won't be able to find any assistance in that regard.

One of my daughters living with my Ex-wife in a different state has Chronic Kidney Disease and takes nightly injections of hGH (human growth hormone). The full-price cost of the medication for the nightly injections is about $43,000 per year. Currently the insurance company is paying 80% of the bill for the medication. I do not pay any of the remaining 20% which they call the co-pay. This is negotiated between a "patient advocate" from the drug company and the insurance provider.
If the $550 co-pay is for a specific medication I think you can speak to a patient advocate at the drug company.
If the $550 co-pay is for a wide-range of services, doctors and medications it will be hard to negotiate.
