I use a product called Intramax. A liquid 100%organic vitamin and mineral supplement. The main difference between the various types of multi-vitamin is the quality of the ingredients. The doctor that created this vitamin and mineral supplement designed so that everyone can take it regardless of the state of your health.

"Best" is a subjective term. Everyone's needs are different. I tend to error on the side of high potency and if I wind up excreting a little, or even a lot, the price isn't gong to kill me.

Personal preference for me are those higher potency multiples that are manufactured and sold by publicly traded pharmaceutical companies.

The reason is they have so much exposure to regulatory agencies due to their Rx business, that they cant afford to make mistakes with the OTC vitamins. So Centrum and One a Day are reliable brands.

I also like Puritan's Pride (catalog). This is a division of a big publicly traded company -Nature's Bounty-that does pretty good job of getting things right and doing it cost-effectively.

All of the above is my opinion only. You'll just have to see what works best for you.

Please do talk with your dr or pharmacist about it especially if taking medication and/or thinking of taking herbs, but I happen to like Twinlab multivitamin/mineral capsules. It's not one of the less expensive brands, but it is a capsule which is supposed to absorb better into the bloodstream as opposed to a tablet.

I get the one withOut iron though you need to check with your physician to see if you have enough iron in your blood or not. Too much iron can actually cause damage to the liver, however, those with anemia may be prescribed or recommended a certain iron supplement. (I have one formula with iron for my 'monthly friend' :) Twinlab can be found at stores such as Whole Foods, Genuardi's and/or Vitamin Shoppe (usually cheaper there). And a pharmacist once told me to take vitamins After food to help make sure that they stomach is protected and to absorb better.

The best vitamin I ever took was MDR fitness tabs.

I felt wonderful while I was taking them; then I had to stop taking them because the coating on the tablet made me sick. But then the coating on most vitamins make me sick;

but for providing a good supplement; they were the best vitamins I ever took.

The best one is the one that works best for your body. First try looking at the label and see it the ingredients come from natural food sources. Stay away from laboratory made products. Anything with acitate on the end won't be good for you. If you can't pronounce the words, don't take the pill, tablet or capsule.
