Using a laptop, got a wireless internet card, think its bluetooth, says media is disconnected, but light is on

Question

I've got a little light on the side of my laptop which indicates that the wireless card it working (I think it's bluetooth, built-in), but when I go to command and enter "ipconfig /all" or "ipconfig /renew", it says my media is disconnected.
Also, when I go to connect to my regular wireless point, I can't connect. Note: this is definitely a problem with this computer, not the wireless internet provider or router.
I think this happened when I accidentally tried to set up a home network on XP.
What can I do to fix this?

are u located in chicago? need to see it in personal. did u turn off the wireless connection?
