because when they were younger people treated them like they were, but the older they got, the less and less attention they recieved, but they never quite got used to the lack of attention, so they just act surprised when that happens. keep in mind, not all white women act like that, just the ones you are talking about.

The question seems to come from a particularly racist and misogynist set of assumptions about 'what white women' are like, but then this is the internet, so I could be Reading You Wrong.

My answer is that They Do Not think this. SOME white women think this. Likewise SOME black women think this. This way of thinking will hurt you and those around you very badly in the long run if it is allowed to continue. I'm assuming you're a very young man, 19 at the most, so there is still time to fix the error. Take a university class in Symbolic Logic, if you go to college or otherwise can afford it, or read this: http://www.backlash.com/content/gender/1995/4-apr95/page6.html

Stop Generalizing!
Try something like: "Why do SOME White women...", "SOMETIMES they act surprised..."
I'm a white woman, and I've never thought those things, and I've never been surprised when a white man dates a Latina, Black or Asian. So because I'm a white woman and the things you said were false for me, I just proved your assumption wrong. Get some education and stop trying to lump groups of people into stereotypes.

They are held up as the ideal by the media and obviously it is much easier to buy into the bullshit hype and to act like it is true than to cultivate a personality so that people like you because of who you really are.

Most jackasses in America and western culture get all of their information, ideas, opinions and desires from TV, magazines, and other social programming. Advertising is a major force in shaping people's opinions. You are bombarded with thousands of images every day. If you are constantly shown one image in a positive context it reinforces the subconscious belief that if something is always portrayed in a more positive light that there might be some truth to it. Look up: offensive counterinformation, propaganda, subliminal advertising and related subjects. Read Adbusters and alternative media. Almost all major media outlets - radio, TV, print, video - are controlled by only a few major corporations. But just because they put the images out there doesn't mean you need to be a mindless consumer or that you need to accept them. Think for yourself and examine why you hold your present ideals. The point of advertising and the free market isn't to make you happy with yourself as you are. Their main goal is to make you continually unsatisfied so you can always be unhappy enough to buy one more product in the hope that you can find something in a box that isn't inside yourself - called self esteem.

In other countries, especially Africa, women are shunned if they are skinny or pale because it is a sign that they are weak or sick. A couple centuries ago it was a sign of status in western society to have a skinny, pale woman because it meant that a man was strong and successful enough to support someone that was completely dependent upon them. Pale skin meant that the chick sat on her *** all day and never had to work outside. Being skinny and weak meant that you had enough money to pay someone else to do the enormous amount of work that it took to take care of a large family and house and that your wife could drink tea and go shopping with a bunch of other lazy, pampered, weak, dependent women.

Im a halfy (white/latina) but I look white. Anyways to contradict your question more white woman are insecure about the way they look, it seems to me, than other woman of color. I mean what majority of race is getting plastic surgery, "white" woman. The media forces ideals of beauty more prominetly on white woman, just look in a magazine, they are skinny, white, and in tabloid magazines, big chested and big bottomed. I lived in Miami for 2yrs, Id say 75% or more people speak spanish there. Latina woman seemed more confident more secure with their bodies, and from little that I know of black woman they seem confident as well. It's fine when a black woman who is size 14 to say "I look hot" then a white woman who's size 2 to say "Hey Im good looking" , it's a double standard, and find it annoying that people think Im full of myself because I think Im good looking, sorry but it's just better to be confident about yourself whether your size 14 or 2 or white or black.

I think that some of the comments on yahoo answers has made you come to this assumption. I don't know if all white women feel this way but i have to agree with you on one thing, they do with out a shaow of a doubt get suprised when a white guy is dating a black girl.
But i think this is just becuase its quite uncommon to find white guys in relationships with black girls, and when it's rarely the case the black girl is very very attractive. This is just my observation and my own experience (not trying to sound conceited lol).
But please don't let a few rotten apples tarnish your opinion of a whole race!

I'm a hispanic guy, but i don't think white women think they're better than any other color women like Latinas, blacks, or asians. Maybe you have had bad experiences.

I've never heard a White woman say that, but that's result of the society we live in. The media brainwashes us to believe that only white woman can be beautiful. But come on Josh, I don't think all white women think that way.

yeah, many white women think that, the way they look down at me,the way they flick their hair at me as if to say I'm better than you. but i don't let it bother me cuz if i want i can have hair like that by blowing out my own hair (without relaxing it) and styling it in any way i want but at the same time i think that the media plays a big part in it.
