approach companies that you REALLY want to work for and offer them your services for free for a limited time... a bit like work experience when you're at school.. this way you get the experience you want, they get some help and you never know... they may just keep you on.. and in the meantime keep looking for paid employment! good luck xx

An associates degree should get you a book keeper position somewhere.

However, you say you have a bachelors. In what? BS? BA?

If you have a BS in Accounting, you should have no problem finding work...should make about 34k...more or less.

Try starting with a temp agency to get placed in a job where you can learn and gain some experience. Tell them you want a temp to perm position so you know you will have some stability.

What I did is that I went to a local temp. agency and took some temp jobs to increase my experience level.

I know it doesn't pay well at first, but with some time you will be able to get a better job with the experience, even if it was with a temp agency.
