its obviously a subject that is always on his mind eh does have to look past it but just reassure him you only like him and just boost his confidence that you like him better and just make him feel special and he will get over it quicker

Do you know what? He will NEVER get over it. His pride etc has been hurt and he will NEVER let it go. Either you have to take it on the chin when it comes up or move on. You telling him to build a bridge and getting over it will not change things. Maybe you should not be defensive ( not saying your are) and ask him why he is so disturbed by the fact you went out with his friend (unsless you did the dirty on your man). The same rule always applies when you break up with someone - boy or girl NEVER go out with their friends. It causes alot of disharmony and hurt feelings all round as you are learning today.

Sorry to tell you but you need to find a new boyfriend. It's too much to ask for him to forgive and forget. You screwed up and now want him to never bring it up. Would you do the same if he went out with your best friend? I highly doubt it.

You crossed the Rubicon when you went out with his best friend. Live and learn.

He has a serious self esteem problem. He needs you to reassure him that he is the only man in your life right now. He brings up that his best friend because it is someone close to both of you that you had a relationship with and for whatever reason it ended.

I would say that if you were dating your current boyfriend when you went out with his friend he hasn't got over it yet. If the 2 of you weren't dating yet then I would say it's in the past and let it go. Good luck I hope this helps.

You screwed up and it will hang over your head forever. Don't blame him because he's bitter. First thing you need to do it make sure he is the most important thing to you. If you don't, you might as well leave now.

Maybe he's just waiting for you to have a good girlfriend so he can "nail" her too.

Seems like a year is enough time to get over it.

Tell him to forgive you and move on, or move out.

He has had plenty of time to GET OVER IT. He can't hang that over your head forever. He's obviously insecure, and you need to tell him that he needs to move on from that.

he's insecure and those are things he needs to deal with on his own. this relationship will never develop if he can never get over that.
