Loves it....my name is Madeline. I always went by ma (not ma like mom but ma like you would say mad only without the d) and when i went to college people kept forgetting my name or calling me something like madison, melanie, or whatever and im like ok just call me maddie. and i love it!

i think Madeline is a lovely name and can be shorted to Maddie, but i think Maddie as a name in its own right is very bland

I love it! Plus there was this little girl that I used to teach that was named Maddie & she was super cute so now I associate that name with her & that makes the name even better! I absolutely love that name! :)

Great, but I'm thinking of Ashley Tisdales's role on Suite Life of Zack and cody. The charater name is Maddie, too. It's still great!

I hope you're using it as a nickname for Madeline and not as the given name itself. It's cute as a nickname, but if that is what you name the girl, she will go through life explaining that Maddie is NOT a nickname but her real name.

i knew of only one girl named maddie she was doing her co op at my bf's work
she was fat
(just commenting cause someone said that was a fat girls name)
um.. she was kinda bossy and annoying from what i heard

my daughter is named maddalena (italian name) and we call her maddie, I think it is beautiful!!!!!
